There is a new proposal among the mid-range tablets. Indeed no, it’s not exactly new: Samsung has updated a product we know well, that Galaxy Tab S6 Lite launched in April 2020 which we reviewed a few weeks later. A simple operation: One UI 4 with Android 12 present from the first start (the original version of the tablet debuted with the One UI 2 based on Android 10) and a new chip. Nothing else, probably.

The doubt is due to the fact that Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 it is not yet present on the company portal and to tell the truth it does not appear anywhere else. It is a variant of the original model that Samsung should have thought of for Europe and which debuted on Amazon Italy. At the time of writing it is the only shop to have it.

There are Android 12 factory installed and a control room change between Samsung’s predecessor’s 10-nanometer Exynos 9611 chip and the Snapdragon 720G of Qualcomm at 8 nanometers. The remaining, few, specifications that can be deduced from the Amazon page are those of the original project, so UI and chip would be the only two differences between the 2020 and 2022 variant. To understand if Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022, not being a top of the range, whether or not it is part of the products to which Samsung guarantees 4 years of Android release plus one of patches.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 is proposed on Amazon at € 399.90 in the list price at which it is possible to book it (should there be a drop, Amazon guarantees the purchase at the minimum reached) with shipments starting Monday 23 May.
