Huawei has presented the new Huawei Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro and Pura 70 Ultra with a camera never seen on a mobile phone.
Huawei is a particular company for many reasons. Some point to its relations with the Chinese government, others to its successful commitment to consumer electronics , others to its gigantic network installation business and others to its R&D department. The last chapter would be being written right now, with the presentation of the new family of high-end mobile phones in Europe , in markets such as Spain. The Huawei Pura 70 Series were presented a few days ago in China; three different models among which the most expensive of them stood out for making a bet never seen before in a mobile camera.
The three models arrive in Spain with their own high-end prices but with a single memory configuration each, something that is almost appreciated when choosing one or the other, especially because storage and RAM are not scarce. . The Huawei Pura 70 costs 999 euros and has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. The Huawei Pura 70 Pro goes up to 1,199 euros and has 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory. Finally, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra costs 1,499 euros and has 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory.
Great design and better screens
Huawei has gone through a difficult time by not having access to many components necessary to be able to create top-level mobile phones. For example, we have recently seen high-end models without 5G. The camera moves
The main claim of Huawei’s high-end is the camera, for many years. In the case of the Pura 70 there is a novelty in the Ultra model, and that is that the lens moves to leave more space between it and the sensor, and to be able to make the most of this 1-inch sensor. The camera moves automatically when you activate the app to take photos , although it does not close automatically if the phone is dropped, as happened with periscopic cameras.
In addition to this 50 Mpx camera, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra has a 40 Mpx Ultra Wide Angle and a 50 Mpx telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. It is capable of magnifying more using a hybrid zoom, but it does not reach the optical magnifications of Apple or Samsung. Of course, Huawei has greatly highlighted the processing and focusing capacity of its cameras, comparing them with those of its main rivals.

Battery and fast charging
Huawei is one of the brands that has made the most progress in charging speed and battery capacity. Despite having a very tight thickness and low weight, the Pura 70 has a 4,900 mAh battery . The wired charging speed is 66W and wirelessly 50W. You can also charge other devices at 7.5W wirelessly and 5W wired.
The Huawei Pura 70 Pro increases the wired charging speed to 100 W and wirelessly to 80 W, these being the same figures as the Ultra model. Of course, the Pro has 5,050 mAh and the Ultra has 5200 mAh battery . Both can charge other devices wirelessly at 20W and wired at 18W.
The three models use EMUI 14.2, based on Android 14, but not HarmonyOS, Huawei’s new operating system that seems to remain in China for the moment. It is curious that they have not yet wanted to expand the reach of their ecosystem outside their country , as Xiaomi is doing with HyperOS . Of course, Google apps cannot yet be used natively on Huawei phones.
