A version of ps5 of the Redfall game was canceled at I send from the Microsoft. This information comes from the creative director of the game, Harvey Smith, who spoke about the game having become exclusive after the owner of Windows acquired Bethesda. According to him:

We were acquired by Microsoft and it was a change with a capital M. They came in and said ‘No PlayStation 5, we’re focused on Xbox, PC and Game Pass

Smith said this in an interview with IGN’s French portal. Still according to him, this decision taken by Microsoft ended up being beneficial because the team had to worry about one less platform. Recently, the game’s requirements were released for those who will play it on PC.

The creative director also explained that this decision ultimately helped support Xbox Game Pass, which currently has over 30 million subscribers. It is worth remembering that the Xbox CEO stated last year that Microsoft intends to keep the Call of Duty franchise for several years on PlayStation after acquisition.

Apparently, the scenario is not repeated in other series of games. Meanwhile, Redfall is getting closer and closer to its launch and should hit the market on May 2 for both PC and home consoles. Likewise, the title will be playable on Game Pass from the day it launches for the platforms.
