New ZTE Blade V40 Vita: budget mobile with UNISOC brain, 90 Hz screen and a large battery
new zte blade v40 vita: budget mobile with unisoc brain,

The Mobile World Congress of this 2022 allowed us to meet many mobiles that have ended up arriving months later. An example of this is the recently launched Honor Magic4 Pro, but also the ZTE mid-range. Specifically, it is the ZTE Blade V40 Vita that has already made its appearance in some markets.

The successor to the ZTE Blade V30 Vita Bring back a UNISOC chip From which we cannot expect anything revolutionary either, but on paper it aims to offer expected performance in a mid-range like this. It also incorporates other notable details in terms of battery or screen. We see below the details of its characteristics.

A striking design with a more than acceptable screen

Zte Blade V40 Vita

Aesthetically we do not see anything disruptive in this ZTE Blade V40 Vita, although this does not detract from the nickname “flashy”. Available in Two colors Those who have been called “Pine Green” and “Zeus Black”, this device offers a rear that draws attention for that curious rough material that forms lines that point to the camera module.

As far as the screen is concerned, we could not expect great boasts in a mobile that straddles the economic range and the mid-range. For this reason, its IPS technology is not reprehensible and less so when it comes with 90 Hz refresh rate. It is not the only one that incorporates such a rate in this range, but it is no less worthy of note, seeing that there are still models in this range at 60 Hz.

Moderate in performance, good battery and an “old” Android

Unique T606

We must first recognize that a chip like the UNISOC T606 It doesn’t look very attractive on paper. However, we have already seen that phones like the Realme C35 with a UNISOC T616 move much better than expected. Returning to the T606, say that it is an 8-core chip, with a clock frequency of 1.60 GHz and a Mail-G57 MP1 GPU at 650 MHz.

As for memories, the version that is launched now offers 4 GB of RAM and a unique internal storage configuration of 128 GB of type UFS 2.2. Internal memory that, by the way, is expandable via microSD card.

As far as autonomy is concerned, we should expect great things from this ZTE, given that it comes with a 6,000mAh battery. However, and as expected given its range, its “fast charge” is not as fast, having the possibility of using adapters up to 22.5W that seem insufficient compared to what other manufacturers give.

To be highlighted is, and in a very negative way too, that this device brings a software from two years ago such as Android 11. And that Android 12 is only installed on 1 out of 10 mobiles, should not be an excuse considering that it has been almost a year since the launch of this Android 12 and that Android 13 is already just around the corner .

Versions and prices of the ZTE Blade V40 Vita

This device, at least for now, has only been launched in Malaysia. Its not confirmed launch to other markets for the moment and therefore we do not know if it will arrive in Spain and in what versions it will do so. However, we can get an idea by looking at the unique version that has been launched in the aforementioned territory, for which this configuration is offered:
