A few days before its official release, the first benchmarks and images of the RTX 4070 are starting to flood the web. A user shared the tests he carried out on Nvidia’s future really affordable GPU. He spent an MSI GeForce RTX 4070 on the test bench on a configuration based on a Core i5-12490F processor on an Intel B660 motherboard. It should be noted that his computer has 32 GB of DDR5-3600 RAM, a very recent type of memory module whose price is certainly falling, but which is not yet commonly used.

The tests carried out by the Chinese leaker confirm all the rumors that have been circulating until now concerning the RTX 4070. tests carried out under 3DMark show us that the GPU is indeed less efficient than its RTX 4070 Ti counterpart, with deviations of 19% to 23% depending on the test, it obtains marks almost equivalent to the GeForce RTX 3080 of 2020. At that time, we qualified it of “power monster”.

The RTX 4070 would have the same level of performance as the RTX 3080

Separately, a Twitter member also shared photographs of the GeForce RTX 4070 Founders Edition, in response to a post by VideoCardz. The RTX 4070 FE will likely be Nvidia’s product featuring the best performance/price ratio of the green team. Like its counterparts in the RTX 40XX series, the Founders Edition will be powered through a 16-pin 12VHPWR connector, it will occupy two slots on the motherboard, but will however be less bulky than the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080.

The photos revealed on Twitter tell us that the GPU could have a V profile, which would mean that the second fan would be exposed on both sides. It would offer the possibility of connecting up to four monitors, with an HDMI 2.1 output and three DisplayPort 1.4. Moreover, the rumor of a GeForce RTX 4060 FE is also becoming more and more insistent. The less fortunate players will therefore be happy to learn that Nvidia is finally looking into their case.
