YouTube Music releases new interface with music library filters

YouTube Music is working on new filters to display downloads and other sections. The novelty was found in version 5.38 of the app for Android and 5.39 for iOS, as reported by 9to5Google. The update brings new display filters that will allow users to view downloaded playlists and albums more easily.

Explaining better, now YouTube Music is integrating a new menu within the Library that will give access to four categories: Library, Downloads, Uploads and Files on the device. The drop-down menu can be opened by tapping the top left area of the app.

Once selected, the category can be filtered into four types of views: Playlists, Songs, Albums and Artists. This way you can see all playlists in Downloads or all downloaded albums for example.

In addition, it will also be possible to sort the items displayed by recent activity or recently added through a menu that works either in chronological, alphabetical or reverse order for both modes. The button to listen to everything in shuffle mode is now hovering in the bottom area of the app.

The new YouTube Music Library view is rolling out gradually today, so it may take a few days for it to be available to all users of the app, just like the new main interface of the music player.
