Finally the stainless OnLeaks, in partnership with the online magazine Zouton, has unveiled Xiaomi 12 Ultra. We have, as usual, a series of very high resolution render complete with 360 ° video, based (most likely) on official CAD files distributed by the company to enclosure manufacturers, and some of the most important details from the main datasheet. As always, it should be noted that some aesthetic details may be slightly different from those reconstructed from the source, but broadly speaking we should be there.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra can be defined as a cross between its direct predecessor Mi 11 Ultra and its “younger brother” 12 Pro, with some new innovations. For example, the huge camera module that occupies the entire rear is back, but this time there is no auxiliary display: all the space is occupied by the massive camera module, which houses at least four sensors and shows a total of eight holes, for who knows what. On the front, the idea of placing the hole for the camera in the center of the display stands out, rather than on the left as was the 11 Ultra.

The general data sheet will be, again according to the source, as follows:

  • Approx.6.6 “display, QHD + resolution (3,200 x 1,440 pixels), 20: 9 ratio, AMOLED technology, maximum refresh 120 Hz, maximum brightness 900 nit (1,700 peak)
  • Storage: 256 or 512GB
  • Cameras:
    • Rear main: 50 MP
    • Rear ultra-wide angle: 48 MP
    • Rear periscope telephoto: 48 MP
    • Front: 20 MP
  • Size: about 161.9 x 74.3 x 9.5mm

Unfortunately some crucial information is missing such as the resolution of the fourth camera, clearly visible (it will probably be a close-up telephoto, with zoom around 2x or 3x), and the SoC. In fact, the source mentions “Qualcomm Snapdragon 895”, which as we know does not exist – it is the old name of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Previous rumors help us to complete this specific piece by suggesting the “Plus” revision of the Qualcomm chip produced by TSMC and announced very recently. Finally, the price: the source expects it pretty salty – around $ 1,350 at least.
