Google has released a new update for Pixel Buds A-Series after confirming that the firmware 3.519.0 recently posted was causing Bluetooth issues so it was impossible to connect the earphones to a second device. The new (corrected) version is the 3.527.0.
We are aware of an issue with our latest Pixel Buds A-Series firmware update (v.3.519) that prevented some users from connecting Pixel Buds A-Series to a second device (e.g. switching the connection from phone to Tablet). We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. An update that fixes this behavior will be released to 100% of users by Monday, February 6.
The update for Pixel Buds A (here you can consult our review) is already in rollout and, as specified by Google, will be concluded within 2-3 days. With a warning not to update the earphones until the new firmware 3.527.0 is detected.
HOW TO UPDATE MANUALLY
To verify manually the presence of the update for Pixel Buds A-Series it is necessary to follow the following steps:
- place the earphones in the open case
- on Pixel smartphones go to Settings > Connected devices > Pixel Buds settings. On other Android smartphones, you need to open the Google Pixel Buds app
- scroll until you find it More settingsthen select Firmware update
- select Update available
This may take approximately 15 minutes. As a reminder, updates are automatic by default for anyone who has paired the buds with a Pixel smartphone running Android 10+ or ​​an Android 6.0+ device with the Pixel Buds app installed.
