The palera1n jailbreak was updated in February with support for iOS 16.3.1, but we have good news if your iPhone is still on iOS 15: now you can use a tool to get the quick access bar to the iOS search that is in the iOS 16 on earlier versions.

We’re talking about the developer’s SearchDots app NightWind. With it, it is possible to add the shortcut to the home screen and customize it in ways that are not possible even in iOS 16.5 itself.

SearchDots is completely free and can be downloaded from the repository Chariz of apps for the jailbreak. Installation is simple and configuration is also as we can see below:

Among the available settings are the option to define whether the shortcut will open Spotlight or iPhone Search and define what the vertical displacement of the bar will be by means of a slider. It is also possible to activate and deactivate the search shortcut for the application, in case you prefer to keep it installed with the feature turned off.
