Oppo last year stopped selling its phones from Germany due to a legal dispute with Nokia. In March, a report indicated that Oppo (and its brother OnePlus) will leave several key markets: France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Both Oppo and OnePlus denied this information, but there may still be trouble on the horizon.

the french website Frandroid interviewed several employees in France to find out what’s going on. One of them worked for Atmospheres, an Oppo contractor that sells phones. According to that person, the service contract with Oppo ends on June 30.

A former Oppo sales director claims that employees were told that the new Find X and Reno series will not go on sale in France. The Find N2 Flip was originally going to be available in stores, but plans changed and the phone is only available online.

Oppo claims that it will remain active in France after June 30. It’s unclear if its phones will still be available, though – in Germany Oppo pulled all phones from its website, while accessories like headphones and wearables were still for sale (but later disappeared).

In addition, Oppo assures current owners that it will continue to offer support and after-sales services for its phones, including receiving software updates. The Oppo France website continues to sell phones.
