Netflix continues to make headway in the video game space and has just released a dedicated controller app for iOS devices. Called the “Netflix Game Controller”, this innovative solution lets you turn your phone or tablet into a gamepad that can be connected to your TV. Now you can play the games available on the platform on the big screen and control them from your mobile device. The free app was recently made available for download on the App Store, but the company has yet to provide many additional details. For example, it is not yet clear what specific games will be supported by this controller, and how the pairing process will take place. In addition, the question of compatibility with Android devices and the possibility of releasing an application for them remains open.

However, the app’s description states that the gamepad feature is “coming soon to Netflix.” It’s an expected development given Netflix’s ambitions as an indie game publisher. Over the past two years, Netflix Games has released and published almost 70 games, some of which are available through the standard Netflix streaming app and others on mobile devices and game consoles. Among them are such notable titles as Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, which received positive reviews from critics. Night School, developer of Oxenfree, became Netflix’s first in-house studio. Interesting indie projects are also on the horizon, such as Storytellers, Paper Trail, and the Monument Valley series. A port of Assassin’s Creed and the mobile game LEGO: Legacy Heroes Unboxed are also in development. With a high degree of probability, it can be assumed

So far, information about compatibility and the version for Android remains unclear, and company representatives have not yet shared details on this matter.
