The Android Update Champion

Google has presented its duo of Pixel phones destined to become something like the kings of Android, having the advantage of sharing the creator with the operating system and a good batch of exclusive functions. The Google Pixel 8 is a new entry from compact powerful mobile with dimensions of just over 150 mm high and 71 mm wide.

With a somewhat more rounded design than last year, the Google Pixel 8 opts for a screen 6.2-inch OLED with Full HD+ resolution which this time reaches up to 120 Hz refresh rate. The screen incorporates a 10.5 megapixel selfie lens with a centered perforation. Under its surface we have the fingerprint reader.

Behind, the Google Pixel 8 maintains the same camera module from last year, also with a combination dual with 50 megapixel main sensor with f/1.68 aperture and a 12-megapixel wide angle that doubles functions such as macro. These cameras join forces with the Tensor G3 and the magic of Google and its camera to achieve things like changing the face to add AI-generated smiles or Night Sight mode for video.

As for the battery, the Google Pixel 8 has one with a capacity of 4,575 mAh and support for fast charging with 27W cable and 18W wireless. The terminals come well loaded with connectivity with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC, although it does not have the thermometer sensor present in the Pixel 8 Pro.

Pixel8

The Google Pixel 8 goes on sale with Android 14 directly and they will also receive 7 years of updatestherefore being today the Android phones that will receive support for the longest time, until 2030. This, in addition, joins all kinds of exclusive functions that come as standard and others that will be added later through Pixel Feature Drops.

For power, Google bets on its processor own Tensor G3 processor (nine cores at up to 3 GHz), 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage, plus IP68 resistance certification against dust and splashes and stereo speakers.
