Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro, the next top-of-the-range gaming smartphone from the Chinese brand, He arrives tomorrow: the company itself confirmed it via the local social network Weibo. Or perhaps it is more correct to say “they arrive”: Nubia explicitly refers to one series of devices in your promotional material. To clarify, we are not talking about the “Red Magic 8 Series”, but the 8 Pro, thus implying that there will not be a “smooth” version of the device – at least for now.

The indication is in some ways consistent with the rumors that emerged a few days ago. Apparently there will be one variant with very large battery from 6000 mAh and fast charging that is not too exaggerated, while another variant will sacrifice a little mAh (1,000, to be precise) in favor of a recharge that will go up to a good 165 W. It is hypothesized that the model from 5000 mAh and 165 W will be destined for China, while the 6000 mAh one (speed still unknown) will be sold abroad.

Much of the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro data sheet is still shrouded in mystery. Below we report the known data but they are not very many – it is however safe to assume that there will be many points in common with the previous generation, whose mid-career refresh is available from this summer.

  • Same 6.8″ OLED display as predecessor
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chips
  • Triple rear camera: 50 + 8 + 2 MP (main, ultra-wide and auxiliary, respectively)
  • Front camera under the new generation display more performing, even if the resolution of the sensor will remain 16 MP
  • Two variants for the battery: 5000 mAh and 6000 mAh
  • Fast charging at 165W for the smaller variant
