Microsoft started releasing this week an update that brings the long-awaited Windows 11 Photos app integration with Apple’s iCloud🇧🇷 The novelty had already been tested for some time and makes the operating system even more complete.
According to the Redmond-based company, iCloud photos should automatically appear in the Windows 11 Photos app, which eliminates the need to connect the iPhone to a PC via USB cable.
To access the feature, the user needs to download, log in to the iCloud app for Windows and enable automatic syncing. The app is available on the Microsoft Store.
In addition to improving the integration between iPhone and PCs or notebooks, the functionality also brings Windows 11 closer to the experience seen on macOS, for example.
By taking a photo on iPhone and uploading it to iCloud, the user can automatically see it on the PC screen, download it to save in a folder or even edit it.
Microsoft says the update for the Windows 11 Photos app is now available for download and all PCs should receive the news by the end of the month.
It is worth remembering that this is another step by Microsoft towards a more open Windows. That’s because Apple TV and Music are also expected to arrive soon, while support for Android apps continues to expand around the world.
