Apple plans to launch an app for physical and mental well-being, un electronic diary to always have on hand hand finger on the iPhone to capture fleeting thoughts, moods or deeper reflections. The Wall Street Journal in his indiscretion he also indicates the name by which it would be known in the corridors of Apple Park, not necessarily the final name: Jurassicand to be clear it will be an app quite similar to Day One, one of the most popular of its kind both on the App and Mac Store and on the Google Play Store.

The Wall Street Journal would have read documents in which the app is described, from which it seems very “powerful”: the ratio which moved the developers was to help users keep track of the progress of the daywith the app that will take care of analyzing the habits of those who compile it to arrive at the definition of one typical day, including time spent at home versus time spent away from home. Once the picture is clear, Jurassic will be able to spot when you do something different.

Thus, explains the WSJ, Jurassic will propose to the user in full autonomy – based on data totally inaccessible to third-party apps for privacy reasons, such as messages or calls – potentials topics on which you might want to jot down a few lines. Sensitive data that Apple’s electronic journal may have access to will be used to perform the analysis of the days locally on the iPhonetherefore they will not be sent to the servers, and the suggestions will remain in memory for 4 weeks, after which they will be automatically deleted.

In the documents seen by the Wall Street Journal there was no indication of the Jurassic debut, but judging from the description it seems like an app on which Apple has invested a lot of resources in terms of development, so it’s probable that you want to reserve a space for it on an important occasion, one that gives it the visibility it deserves. The main suspect at this point is the stage of the WWDC of June, where iOS 17 is also expected: here, Jurassic could be part of the news of the next generation of the iPhone operating system.
