TC Teaches: How to see and delete your history on TikTok

If you’ve been following us for a while, then you probably already know that in addition to keeping you informed, we’re always trying to add more knowledge to your daily life, with tips and tutorials so you can get the most out of your devices and apps.

Today, continuing this routine, we present another tip; this time for TikTok users! Learn how to view and, if desired, delete your viewing history on the platform.

Want to show a video you saw on TikTok to a friend but don’t remember who it was? Through the social network’s history tool, you can view the complete record of all videos watched over the last seven days; finding the content.

And for those who don’t like to leave traces, the platform also allows you to erase all history – in addition to providing the option to interrupt the records.

Without further ado, check it out:

• With TikTok open on your device, go to the “Profile“;
• Now, tap on the three-line icon located at the top of the screen and select the option “Settings and privacy“;
• On the new screen, tap “Watched video history”.

The history of videos watched in the last seven days will be displayed. Click on the video you would like to rewatch.

Now, to no longer save your viewing history and erase your current historyit’s very simple:

• Still on the screen of “Watched video history”, tap the gear icon located at the top of the screen;
• For clear current historytap “Clean history” and confirm the operation by touching “Clean“;
• For stop logging historydisable the option switch “Watched video history”.

There, you learned how to view, delete and stop recording your history on TikTok! It is worth remembering, from now on, that deleting your history or interrupting the record does not directly influence the behavior of the network algorithm to show you the next videos.
