Last week, as announced for some time, a new ebook created by the Steve Jobs Archive site was made available free of charge. Make Something Wonderful: Steve Jobs in his own words is a collection of emails, photos, transcripts of public speeches and interviews, some unpublished, of the co-founder of Apple. The collection was edited by Leslie Berlin and also includes a foreword by Laurene Powell JobsJobs’ widow.

In addition to the completely free PDF version, the Steve Jobs Archive has still made as well an elegant paper version of the bookin hardcover, which he sent to some Apple and Disney employees, many of whom have already promptly put it up for sale at prices ranging from $100 to $25,000.

eBay has been practically flooded and currently there are over 200 specimens available, mostly from the United States but some also from France, Germany, Ireland and Australia. In the last few hours, however, the auction site seems that is starting to remove a lot of these ads (those with higher prices in particular) without giving a reason.

However, as is often the case with most of the limited edition items that gravitate towards Apple, this book too would seem to be destined to become a collector’s item anyway. In recent years, we recall, Apple itself officially put a book entitled for sale “Designed by Apple in California”made in both small and large versions and sold for $199 and $299 respectively, which today can be found on eBay at prices above $1,000.
