Ahmed Qwaider has revealed the performance data related to the Samsung Galaxy S23 series on social media. Apparently, the new line of smartphones will have a much higher performance than the previous family (S22), which has been one of the great mobile phones this year. The expected increase in performance revolves around the following figures:

  • 36% CPU performance increase
  • 48% GPU improvement
  • 60% NPU improvement

The CPU and GPU performance jump means that Samsung Galaxy S23 phones will be better able to handle resource-intensive apps. This includes games, editing apps, and many other similar tools. On the other hand, the 60% increase in the NPU means that smartphones will be more efficient when it comes to managing artificial intelligence tasks. In short, the company has decided to remove Exynos from the range. Samsung’s high-end users will no longer have to deal with inferior chips.

Chip cooling will also be very important

TSMC built the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip for the Samsung Galaxy using a 4nm N4P manufacturing process. And it seems, the company has greatly improved the cooling solution of the chip. That can ultimately lead to much more stable performance. Not to mention efficiency and battery life, which can also see a massive increase if that’s the case. We will have to wait to find out in the coming months.
