Nokia launched several cell phones in 2022 and now the Nokia C12 is the first cell phone presented by it in 2023. The new model is dedicated to those who want a basic smartphone, as it is equipped with Android 12 Go, in addition to expandable RAM and improved resistance against falls.

Starting with the screen, the Nokia C12 has a 6.3-inch IPS screen with HD + resolution and a drop notch to house the 5 MP front camera that is also used for facial recognition, detecting the user even with the use of a face mask. protection.

The processor is the Unisoc 9863A1 octa-core up to 1.6GHz aligned to 2 or 3 GB of RAM with additional virtual memory of 2 GB. The internal storage is 64 GB, which can be expanded via microSD up to 256 GB.

An interesting detail is the design of the device, which has IP52 certification against ingress of limited range dust, harmful debris and direct splashes of water up to 15 degrees from the vertical. Nokia also cites drop and bump protection.

In the connectivity sector there is support for 4G Cat4, WiFI 802.11b / g / n, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, P2 headphone jack, but the removable 3,000mAh battery still needs to be charged via micro USB, which is disappointing considering that most cell phones have already adopted USB-C as a standard.

In the camera sector we find another 8 MP sensor with autofocus and LED flash on the back. HMD Global cites that it has added algorithms to improve image capture in low-light environments.
