Amazon continues to take charge of the suggestions and comments of the users so that the Kindle Scribe, its electronic book reading device launched at the end of last November, and which stands out for also supporting writing on the screen, as we already mentioned at the beginning of the year, be as versatile as possible with each update you release.

In this sense, after two months after the previous update, which introduced navigation improvements in the notebooks, the creation of subfolders, more types of fountain pen and brushes, among other options, now comes a new update that offers new possibilities for that users of this device can get the most out of it.

Now it’s easier to manage notebooks, read content horizontally, and more

Among the four novelties introduced in this update, the first one stands out, which is the arrival of the Bird sight to the Kindle Scribe Notebook application, allowing you to preview nine of the pages that make up the notebook that is open.

But in addition, users can change the location of any of the pages they have in view, as well as being able to delete them or introduce others. For ease of management, this feature also allows users to preview the next nine pages of the notebook.

Another novelty is the option to adjust the contrast of PDF files using a slider that will make some files easier to read. Additionally, Microsoft 365 subscribers will now be able to send .docx and .doc documents from the Microsoft Word app on desktop or in the browser to read and annotate on Kindle Scribe via Microsoft’s Send to Kindle button.

And finally, for those who prefer to read e-books horizontally, they will now be able to have the contents in two columns, a feature that is already found in the Kindle application for iPads, the reasons for which it is unknown. feature hasn’t been in Kindle Scribe devices since the beginning.

These four novelties, although they are not of great depth, do go in the right direction of what this device needs to receive to reach a point where nothing is missing, even when compared to similar devices from the competition. , having everything you need to make it easier to make the most of it.

Possible new future updates address other points

In this regard, there are still points that Amazon is more than likely to address in future updates, including the possibility of transforming handwritten annotations to editable text, or the synchronization of book notes between all Kindle applications and devices.

Over time, it will be seen how far the updates go to address the needs of the users, which is why they will continue to push until they can have a device that meets their expectations beyond its hardware-level characteristics.
