A resident of the city of Jitaúna – BA received a stone instead of cell phone in which he paid BRL 6 thousand. Its about Eduardo Fernandes Linowho is a teacher and tried to acquire a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, but ended up facing this problem and it’s a real nightmare.

The man claims to have made the purchase through an Itaú credit card app on January 30th. Some time later, the carrier arrived at his home last Friday (9) and the order was received by his mother. When she was faced with the blow, the victim told what she did:

It’s the time when we almost have a heart attack, because I bought it on a sale for six thousand and fifty nine reais and I received this stone. I activated the card, went to the police station and filed a police report

The information comes from the portal Giro Ipiaú, who had direct contact with Eduardo. In this sense, the professor said that he believed that the promotion was legitimate and made the purchase believing that it was safe:

What makes us sad the most is because the card application, we understand that it is safe and buy directly from Samsung. Then you have Itaú, which is a reliable company, at least we think it is, and Samsung, in the same way. This is what happened to me as an example to others. Here at home, we now decree that every order that arrives by courier, before signing the delivery note, we will open it in his presence to see what’s inside. We could expect it from any other site, but the card app itself and Samsung surprised us.

It is worth remembering that not even famous people are free from scams, since even the actor Murilo Benício went through a similar situation when buying a apple watch in 2021. In addition, a resident of São Paulo ended up suffering a blow when he believed he was buying an iPhone at half the price.

As for the problem of buying Eduardo, the Itaú application team asked for a period of seven to ten days so that they could investigate internally what happened with the carriers.
