iOS 16.2 it will be officially released in the middle December, Apple is still working on the development of the new version and in the last few hours it has released the second beta that introduces several new features, as we told you in our dedicated article. Among these there is one still hidden, which however in 9to5Mac they managed to reconstruct by providing us with the very first details.

Is called Custom Accessibility Mode and it is an accessibility option that is partly similar to the current one guided access mode which will allow you to replace the Springboard with a minimal and easy-to-use interface, ideal for those who have vision problems or who prefer to have a Simplified UI. However, it is not yet clear if the novelty will be released with iOS 16.2 or if we will have to wait for a later release.

The start screen of the function reads: “Custom Accessibility Mode creates a streamlined iPhone experience“, and below appear

  • Simplified: simplified home screen and apps
  • Large UI: large texts and controls
  • Customizable: customizable to meet different needs

It will then be possible to set a larger text font and select specific apps and contacts to enter on the main screen to have them immediately at hand. It will not only be the app or contact icon that will be large, but also its content. The activation and deactivation of the function is also convenient: three presses on the side button or on the Home button on the iPhones / iPads that are equipped with it will suffice.
