Maybe you didn’t know it, but WhatsApp has some functions that are not well known by the more than 2,000 million users that the instant messaging tool owned by Meta has around the world and that could help you use the app better.

If you want to communicate better with your family and friends, pay attention to these tricks to get more out of WhatsApp that we mentioned and many other functions that we periodically explain in these articles. We recently told you in a video how to send ephemeral photos and videos through WhatsApp and today we are going to focus on another function: the possibility of marking messages as favorites in WhatsApp.

How to use favorite WhatsApp messages

The favorite messages option in WhatsApp will be very useful if you want to save a specific message from a conversation, to easily return to it over time. For example, imagine that the person you are talking to has given you her address, where a party will be held, and after a few days you want to check it when you are going to go out. Or, for example, that you have been lent the Netflix keys and you want to recover them because you are going to start an account on another device.

Searching for those messages in the chat with a person with whom you talk a lot can be an endless task, so it is advisable to mark them as favorites. To do this, you just have to press and hold the message you want to highlight. Once you do that, by pressing the screen, the “Start” option will appear along with a star.

If you click on it, the message will be highlighted. Nothing changes, only now a star is displayed next to it. To get to that message again, easily, you just have to access that contact’s profile on WhatsApp. There you will see the option “Starred messages”. If you click on it, you will access all the messages that person has sent you and that have been highlighted by you, it’s that easy.
