The remains of a Chinese rocket that has outlived its usefulness in space is approaching the earth’s surface, and its fall is not controlled, so it can fall anywhere within its fall trajectory.
Spain and Portugal are on this trajectory, so much so that the airspace of several Spanish cities has already been closed. A few hours ago they indicated that it would pass through the north of Spain, passing through Barcelona, but now it seems that it will go a little further south, through Murcia.

Even so, the probability of falling on land is very low, it will surely fall in the sea, and if it falls on land, it would be very bad luck if it falls in an inhabited area. Be that as it may, we will be attentive in case there is any last minute scare.
It is not the first time that China has done something like this, letting its space debris fall uncontrollably. I hope we don’t have to see a tragedy to find a solution to this problem.
