After weeks of leaks and official posters shared by Xiaomi itself, we already have all the official information about the new Redmi K60 Ultra . It is a mobile that moves away from the numerous Redmi Note 12 and that goes up to the most exaggerated range in terms of specifications thanks, among other features, to its 24 GB of RAM.

As tradition dictates, surely we will not see this mobile outside of China, but it is also very likely that it will reach the West as a Xiaomi or POCO model, such as a variant of the POCO F6 or the Xiaomi 13T Pro . That said, let’s go with all the features of the new Redmi beast that have just been made official at an event in which the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 , the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max and the Smart Band 8 Pro have also been presented .

24 GB of RAM and the new beast from MediaTek
It is strange that Xiaomi is now launching a member of the K60 family considering that both the Redmi K60 and K60 Pro were launched last year. A version of the Redmi K60 Pro arrived in our territory as POCO F5 Pro , so it is to be expected that this Redmi K60 will land in the West under the umbrella of one of the Xiaomi companies.

That said, in terms of design, it is the most ambitious Redmi to date with lines that mix what is seen in the Xiaomi 13 and the POCO F5 Pro. In fact, the rear is very similar to that seen in the Xiaomi 13 Pro , with that big, square camera module and with the dividing line, but also with the little ramps of the POCO F5 Pro module. And something that has surprised us is that it has IP68 certification .

On the front we have a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and, curiously, a 1.5K resolution . We say “curiously” because the K60’s screen was 1,440p and it drops to 1,220p. It’s not a huge difference, but there it is.

Inside, Xiaomi has opted for a tandem that can be devastating for heavy tasks such as video games. The SoC is the Dimensity 9200+ , a MediaTek chip with eight cores in which one is a Cortex-X3 at a frequency of 3.35 GHz, another three are Cortex-A715 at 3 GHz and the four low-power ones are Cortex -A510 at 2GHz.

The GPU is the ARM Immortalis-G715 and this SoC is accompanied by a whopping 12, 16 or 24 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage in one of its variants. We will see what we do with 24 GB of RAM, but it is the mobile not focused on video games that has more RAM. The battery has 5,000 mAh and fast charging of 120 W.

Apart from the ambitious technical specifications, we have the photographic section. The main camera has a 50 megapixel sensor, the Sony IMX800 . It is stabilized with OIS and EIS and is accompanied by an 8 Mpx wide angle and a 2 Mpx portrait sensor. The front camera has a 16 Mpx sensor.

Versions, price and launch of the Redmi K60 Ultra

Again, we do not know under what name the Redmi K60 Ultra will arrive in Spain , but we do know the prices for China:

  • Redmi K60 Ultra from 12 + 256 for 2,599 yuan, about 328 euros to change.
  • Redmi K60 Ultra from 16 + 256 for 2,799 yuan, about 354 euros to change.
  • Redmi K60 Ultra from 16 + 512 for 2,999 yuan, about 379 euros to change.
  • Redmi K60 Ultra of 16 + 1 TB for 3,299 yuan, about 417 euros to change.
