The Xiaomi 14 — model identified with the codename “Houji” — is expected to arrive later this year bringing innovations in design and powerful hardware. The device may come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform, a processor with a maximum clock speed of 3.7 GHz, delivering high performance for both games and running apps.

In terms of cameras, rumors point to a hefty configuration with high resolution and sensors consistent with the phone’s category, but without any notorious highlight. According to informants, the Chinese manufacturer may keep the 1-inch camera instead of using the 1.33-inch component with better quality.

Rumors do not bring up the reason for this possible choice, but suggest that this year the brand can focus on improvements and theyoumizations instead of innovating in sensors keeping the Sony IMX989 which is also on Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 Ultra, both evaluated by TechSmart. A front camera must have 4K resolution

In terms of beauty, the Xiaomi 14 can include a huge square module at the rear that will house the camera sensors and the LED flash with the inscription “Leica” on the side. The screen should have even thinner edges than its predecessor, increasing the usable area with a flat format and a high refresh rate, a standard feature on flagships.
