Recently, Apple released iOS 16.3, the latest version of iOS 16, introduced in June last year and made available with the iPhone 14 family.
This year, iOS 17 will arrive with the iPhone 15 family, probably in September. A new leak brought details of what the Cupertino giant prepares in the new version of its operating system.
According to the source, who has corrected various information regarding Apple products in the past, iOS 17 will not bring any significant visual changes. Including, users can look forward to an almost identical look and feel to iOS 16.
However, the new version of the Cupertino giant’s operating system will focus on stability and efficiency, in addition to bringing support for Apple’s virtual and augmented reality headset.
For example, iOS 17 will have a dedicated app for the headset, which should work in the same way as the Watch, but with a wider range of features. Apple Music, on the other hand, will receive several changes in navigation and adopt a style close to other streaming applications.
Reminders and Archives will also receive special attention, but the leak doesn’t mention what the changes would be, while Mail will be streamlined. The Fitness and Wallet apps will receive discrete changes, with the latter being able to finally be connected to Apple Pay Later.
Apparently, IOS 17 is being built to run on six devices with Dynamic Island, where we can mention iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. This suggests that all devices in the iPhone 15 line will adopt the new technology.
Parts of the iOS 17 code suggest that Apple’s upcoming flagships will come with a USB-C port, but only two will have USB 3.2 speed, most likely the Pro and Pro Max variants. The other models will have speeds similar to what users find with Lightning.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max, on the other hand, should bring more advanced image processing software than the iPhone 15 Pro and a better cooling system, possibly due to its larger size.
