Apple today introduced the new MacBook Pro and Mac Mini with the M2 Pro and Max chips that allow you to perform much more heavy tasks at the same time with greater energy efficiency. However, Apple did not hold an event to announce them, but now it has launched a kind of “Mini Keynote” to spread all the news about the new products.

The video is hosted by several members of the Apple team, starting with Apple’s Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering, John Ternus. In it, we see several aspects of the new generation such as optimizations in the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips and some connectivity changes in each notebook and mini PC.

The video is just over 18 minutes long and begins by mentioning the Mac Mini with an M2 chip, moves on to the model with an M2 Pro, then to the MacBook Pro with the same chip and ends by extolling all the power of the MacBook Pro with an M2 Max, the processor most powerful in an Apple notebook, which brings optimizations for pro-level software and games.

Detailing a little more, the Apple M2 Max has three times more transistors than the Apple M2, totaling 67 billion of them on a single chip, which guarantees twice the available bandwidth with the unified memory in relation to the M2 Pro. In practice, this means that it is possible to carry out twice as many tasks at the same time.

There is still no date for the launch of the new MacBooks Pro and Mac Mini in Europe, but Apple has already listed their prices on the official website and has discontinued the old models with Intel and M1 processors.
