Xiaomi is gearing up for the global launch of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which will launch in China and global markets on April 18. The company has been posting some previews of its features, such as the ability to run for an hour on 1% battery thanks to emergency mode. The latest revelation allows us to fully see the design of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be released in new green and white colors

Xiaomi has announced that the device will be released in two colors: green and white. The images shared by Xiaomi show the rear panel of the 13 Ultra in olive green. The rear panel has a leather-like finish on the back, similar to what we had seen on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. It has been designed to offer the texture and hand feel of a Leica camera. The back of the phone, in the area of the camera module, is slightly thicker than the bottom of the body. This could be due to the larger size of the sensors.

At the rear is a quad-camera setup. The huge circular camera module has the Leica brand right in the middle. Xiaomi has also revealed that the phone is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, and that the metal frame is 4.4 times more resistant to bending. The company recently revealed that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will offer support for a variable aperture. It will be the first smartphone in the world to offer a 1-inch camera sensor with variable aperture. The aperture of the 13 Ultra’s main camera can be adjusted to f/1.9 and f/4.0 depending on the ambient lighting and the need to focus (or rather blur) the background. The camera setup has also been confirmed to include three Sony IMX858 sensors. There will be ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lenses with 3x and 5x optical zoom, respectively. According to rumors, the four camera sensors will have a resolution of 50 MP. #gallery-1 { margin: auto; } #gallery-1 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-1 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-1 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

The 13 Ultra is believed to pack a powerful 5,000mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. It will pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip under the hood. The device is also said to have up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. On the front, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with curved edges and 2K resolution. The screen will have a perforated cutout in the top center. It will also support a 120Hz refresh rate. Lastly, the phone will boot with MIUI 14, based on Android 13.
