For some time it has been more or less clear that Google is preparing its landing in the folding phone market. And, now, more information has been known regarding what the terminal in question will offer and there is even information regarding its possible presentation and, by the way, there are surprises!
To begin with, one of the first things that is pointed out is the name that the terminal would have, and the truth is that the Mountain View company -if confirmed- has chosen one that is not bad at all: google pixel note pad. The device will use the book fold, which is the one offered by models such as Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold. Therefore, it would be a model with an important screen in dimensions.
This could exceed seven inches once the smartphone is open, and would be accompanied by an exterior of no less than 5.8 inches that it would be fully functional and that it would allow using the terminal without having to deploy it with excellent ease. In what has to do with the chosen panel, this would be AMOLED LTPO with a frequency of 120Hz. This will be manufactured by Samsung and shows that this company’s relations with Koreans are fantastic, and this is a clear example of it.
Powerful hardware and something else
Other details that have been known about the folding future is that it will have a Tensor processor of own manufacture and that would count a power because it will have eight cores capable of working a frequency of up to 3 GHz. In addition, the RAM would be 12GBso the execution of applications will be remarkable and it will possibly be one of the highest performing folding smartphones on the market.
With connectivity that will not lack for anything, including WiFi 6, there are no specific data regarding options such as the battery, but this will be a model that will include fast charging above 33W -so it will respond quite well in this section-. As it cannot be otherwise, the operating system will be android 13 because, and here comes one of the surprises, the latest data on the Google Pixel NotePad is that it would go on sale in the last quarter of this year 2022. That is, at the same time as the rest of the company’s smartphones.
Z Fold 4 and Google foldable will have similar sized foldable displays, but the Google cover display will be quite a bit smaller at 5.8″. This should mean it will have a wider aspect ratio than the Samsung 6.19″ Fold 4. Hear more at our conference next week.

Introducing the Google Pixel NotePad
Then everything points what will be in the next developers event (Google I/O) when the firm will give more specific data and, perhaps, already physically see a prototype of the terminal. This is an advance compared to what was expected and it is good news … not so much for rivals such as Xiaomi, Samsung or Huawei.
A final detail: it is increasingly speculated that the price of this Google folding would be noticeably lower than what its competition currently offers, since it could be around 800 euros. Obviously, it is not something cheap, but it does represent an important leap to make it a more accessible terminal for users. If confirmed, this would be crucial to achieving good sales and a high market share.
