The iPhone 14 Plus doesn’t seem to have charted and its demands are lower to the expectations of apple. Still, the apple does not seem to be giving up on the device proposal and should follow with a larger version for the next generation. On the other hand, the Pro and Pro Max versions seem to do better in the market.
The reason for this is a 75% share of orders for screens for the most powerful variants. In fact, this number may grow even more over time, according to a survey carried out by Ross Young. Likewise, even with shipments of displays for the base iPhone 14 increasing, it was not enough to supply those of the Plus version, which stopped completely.
The data released by Young also reveals that the percentage of iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max shipments is expected to rise to 80% in January and February. Furthermore, even if those of the Plus variant were to be resumed, they would barely reach 5% of the total requested by Apple.
In any case, the apple should not give up the proposal to sell a smartphone with the same specifications as the base version, only with a larger screen. In this way, the iPhone 15 Plus remains within the plans and it may even have a price cut, although it is not known for sure what the manufacturer’s ideas are to leverage its sales.
