Users who own a Samsung device from the Galaxy range can now enjoy the artificial intelligence features on offer Bing AI thanks to the integration with Microsoft SwiftKey. The SwiftKey team has announced that the update is now available for users with one of the supported Samsung terminals.

Anyone wishing to try will have to have the latest version of SwiftKey, the 9.10.11.10, which is being released in installments right now. Don’t worry if you don’t see the update, as it could be a matter of hours or a few days at most.

Thanks to the innovation, the technology developed by OpenAI together with Microsoft is now added to the SwiftKey keyboard integrated into Samsung’s One UI. In fact, for uninterested users, Bing AI changes little, especially if you are not used to using the SwiftKey keyboard and tend to use the Samsung keyboard primarily.

For those interested, it’s good to remember that the AI technology integrates with the keyboard with three main interactions: Search, Chat and Tone. We explain them briefly.

  • Research– Using Bing AI Search, you can quickly search the web without switching apps.
  • Chats: Users can access Bing for more detailed questions and get more accurate suggestions.
  • Tone: With this feature, you can communicate more effectively by using Bing AI to personalize text and rephrase its tone based on what the situation requires.

The introduction of Bing AI is a noteworthy event, primarily because being part of SwiftKey, it becomes a de facto system installation in all the latest Samsung Galaxy devices. Then there is to consider that Microsoft has thus managed to beat Google’s Bard on time, and to make matters worse there are rumors that Samsung is also considering the possibility of replacing the Google search engine as the default option, in favor of Bing. These are only hypotheses and it remains to be understood what agreements exist between Google and Samsung, but it is still an alarm bell that will have to be taken into consideration by Big G.
