Such an influx of Radeon RX 6000s in such a short time cannot be a coincidence. Our repairer therefore sets out to find the source of the problem. Are the cards suffering from a hardware failure or is there software involved? After surveying her clients, Kris found that everyone has a different use of their graphics card. While some are die-hard gamers who push their GPU to its limits, others just watch videos on YouTube or only use their PC for office use.

Many GPUs in the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series are unusable, the latest driver is faulty

In any case, however, customers have updated their card driver to Adrenalin 22.11.2 (WHQL) update published by AMD on December 8, 2022. Could the founder have set his driver incorrectly? According to the Youtuber, it is not impossible that the company has pushed the voltage of its cards too much. Some netizens have noticed that the examined graphics chip was cracked. Could this be the consequence of a software deactivation of the thermal protection?

Some observers play devil’s advocate. Would AMD complete the previous generation of cards to push its customers to buy an RX 7000? It is, for the time being, impossible to say definitively. As a precautionary measure, specialists recommend not installing the latest update released by AMD.
