You may not know it, but Nicolas Cage almost played Superman in theaters in the 90s. With the success of Tim Burton’s Batman films, Warner Bros. tried to start a new Superman franchise on the big screen under the director’s command, which would have none other than Cage in the role of the Kryptonian.

Unfortunately, the project ended up not going forward and all we had to date are images of the actor trying on the costume. For those who would like to see the actor as the hero, it will finally happen in The Flash movie!

Very soon, we will have the premiere of The Flash, the first scarlet speedster movie that promises to end the DC Universe in theaters as we know it to start the new era commanded by James Gunn.

As we know, in his quest to prevent his mother’s death, Barry Allen travels back in time and goes back to the past, but this ends up having disastrous consequences for the future, resulting in a convergence of several different universes. With that, we have the return of Michael Keaton’s Batman, replacing Ben Affleck’s Batman, in addition to the presentation of Supergirl as the Kryptonian heroine who takes over from Superman.

Previously, several rumors indicated that the feature would feature other versions of the DC heroes featured on TV and cinema, including the classic Superman by Christopher Reeve, but this week Andy Muschietti, director of The Flash, ended up talking a little more and confirmed that we will have the participation of Superman by Nicolas Cage.

Nic was absolutely wonderful. The role is just a cameo, but he dove into it.

We still don’t know what the participation scene will look like, but that was enough for many fans to be even more excited about the premiere.

The Flash debuts in 15th of June.

Can we expect more appearances as iconic as this one?
