Nubia, a brand known for focusing on launching smartphones aimed at the gamer audience, announced this week that it should present a new affordable device by the end of the month.

Known as Nubia Neo, the mobile will not be powered by a Qualcomm or MediaTek chipset, but, interestingly, it will use SoC Unisoc T820.

According to preliminary information, the chipset has 1 Cortex-A76 core clocked at 2.7 GHz, three Cortex-A76s cores clocked at 2.3 GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.1 GHz. The GPU is the Mali-G57 MC4.

As expected, by the chipset specifications the new Nubia Neo is not even close to the power that a RedMagic can offer. Still, as you can see in the teaser above, the device has a flashy design.

On its back, you can see a camera module with two circles, an LED flash and a screen-printed pattern. In addition, the side of the device is flat, something that conveys a sense of elegance.

As for the other specifications of the Nubia Neo, unfortunately the Chinese brand has not yet revealed the complete technical sheet.

Rumors indicate that the smartphone will be sold with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage, while the operating system will be Android 13.

The official release date for the affordable gaming device is June 20th, but it’s still unclear if it will be sold outside of China.
