Configure the custom sound recognition option in iOS 16
- The first thing you’ll need to know is that you need to have the feature active in the first place.
- You will have to enter the Settings app on your iPhone, then slide down to tap on Accessibility.
- Scroll down again and click on Sound recognition.
- Click on Sound Recognition and you have to activate the function. Immediately after, your iPhone will proceed to download the necessary software for the function.

- Go to the Sound recognition menu and click on Sounds.
- A list of familiar sounds will appear that you can quickly identify. Click on any option to activate it and have your device listen to those sounds, as well as apply a tone to the notification you receive.
