A new rumor suggests that Apple will continue to reserve features such as the Always On Display for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Reports suggest that upcoming iPhone 15 models will feature Apple’s Dynamic Island, which is currently only available on the iPhone 14 Pro. Those same reports, however, also say that it’s unlikely Apple would bring the 120-inch display. Hz from Pro models to standard iPhones.
That would mean thate the normal iPhone 15 could not count on ProMotion, which speeds up the screen refresh when a faster speed is needed, and also slows it down to save power.
This also implies that Always On Display won’t be coming to regular iPhonessince without being able to reduce the refresh rate, the power consumption will be too great.
The leaker “yeux1122” — who in August 2021 claimed to have the first details of the iPhone 14 — now it states that Apple is preparing for mass production of the new iPhone 15.
Apple has already prepared to deliver the iPhone 15 series panel to domestic companies, and it is said that it will soon confirm the details and prepare for mass production.
What is confirmed here is that the specification supports LTPO 120 refresh rate only for the Pro series and the basic model plus does not have such requirements.
Although the leaker “yeux1122” does not have a particularly notable track record, the information is certainly supporting previous expectations.
