NVIDIA already launched the GeForce RTX 4060 for notebooks in January during CES 2023 and today leaker Kopite7kimi is leaking information about the desktop version of this GPU, which should be even more powerful, but have a lower technical sheet than some graphics cards like the RTX 3060, with 8 GB instead of 12 GB.
Today’s tipster states that the NVIDIA RTX 4060 should be based on the AD107-400-A1 GPU, which uses the AD107 matrix with fully enabled Ada Lovelace architecture, i.e. the same as the laptop version. However, this GPU must have 3072 CUDA cores, 8 GB of GDDR6 memory with speed of 18 Gbps and 128-bit bus.
RTX 4060 still uses PG190.

Crossing the numbers we arrive at a bandwidth of 288 GB/s for this GPU, which should still have 24 MB of L2 cache with a TPD of 115W.
For comparison purposes, the sheet indicates that even having 4 GB less than the GeForce RTX 3060, the performance of the new model should be between 30 and 50% higher, as the higher cache helps to process graphics at higher resolutions, although it would be more interesting to see this GPU with 12 GB, as some titles require more memory for improved performance.
Today’s reports also indicate specifications for other NVIDIA graphics cards, such as the RTX 4050, which may be based on the AD107 SKU, having lower performance than the RTX 4060, but with a lower price.
The desktop RTX 4060 is expected to cost between $300 and $400 (R$1,560 – R$2,070) and will launch after the new RTX 4070 and 4060 Ti in mid-2023.
