O DxOMark published this Friday (10) the camera test from Nothing Phone (1). According to the evaluation of the site, the product had a score of 114 overall, putting it ahead of models like Google Pixel 5, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Flip 3, Galaxy S21 and S21+ (both Exynos version).

Even so, the cell phone was behind many other devices, such as Galaxy S21 Ultra (Exynos), Zenfone 8, Xiaomi 12T, Apple iPhone 11, 12, 12 Mini and Sony Xperia 5 IV. Outdoors and in good light conditions, it didn’t do so badly, but in dim lighting and indoors, the product left a lot to be desired, according to the review.

Nothing Phone (1) – Camera Pros

As positive points, DxOMark cited the good level of detail in ultra-wide photos, the precision of the autofocus and the noise control in records taken in external places. Furthermore, the video stabilization in these conditions was also praised and the main camera also scored well for the level of detail shown in both stills and video.

Nothing Phone (1) – Camera Cons

The negative points, in turn, took into account the instability of the autofocus in the footage, as well as some errors in the blur mode. Not only that, but the review also noted instabilities in exposure control, limits on dynamic range in stills and videos, and stabilization issues in walking and running videos.

In camera specifications, Nothing Phone (1) has two lenses, the main one being 50MP with optical stabilization and f/1.88 aperture. The auxiliary is an ultra-wide sensor with 50MP, autofocus and f/2.2 aperture. Recently, its possible successor had leaked specifications, including 12GB of RAM and 5,000mAh battery.
