A theory is growing on social networks that Israeli intelligence missed the Hamas attack because the militants used Huawei smartphones without Google services, which are supposedly difficult to hack. The founder of this theory was former MI6 intelligence agent Amen Dean, who worked for Al-Qaeda* as a double agent for several years. Experts interviewed by Gazeta.Ru talked about how cyber intelligence usually works and why the reason for Hamas’s successful breakthrough was most likely the lenient attitude of the Israeli authorities towards the Palestinians, as well as the lightning-fast actions of militants.
