Streamer Casimiro Miguel signed an agreement to broadcast another sporting event on his YouTube channel and Twitch. CazéTV will show the 2023 Pan American Games in Europe, free of charge and via streaming.
The deal was closed together with LiveMode and the Europeian Olympic Committee (COB), according to information from the UOL last week. However, confirmation will still come in the next few days.
The multi-sport event will be held in Santiago, Chile, between October 20th and November 5th this year. It highlights its proximity to the following year’s Olympic Games – which will take place in Paris, France –, by offering vacancies for the competition in many of the grid’s modalities.
Currently, CazéTV already shows some competitions in partnership with the Europeian Olympic Channel, such as the Judo World Cup. An agreement had also been reached for Casimiro to be one of the “godfathers” of Team Brasil at the 2023 Pan.
In football, Casimiro has also shown the Sub-20 World Cup and Athletico Paranaense’s games at home in the Brasileirão, in addition to spending the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand between July and August.
Until 2020, the 2023 Pan American Games had their broadcasting rights held by Record. However, due to the effects of the new coronavirus pandemic, Edir Macedo’s broadcaster terminated the contract with Panam Sports.
Since then, the organization has already offered the exhibition to other broadcasters in Europe, such as ESPN channels, but was unsuccessful due to the high fees charged. Thus, so far, the event does not have a confirmed TV to show the games.
