OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has warned that the rumored successor to GPT-3, GPT-4, could be a disappointment due to the high level of hype surrounding the company. Altman stated that “people are begging to be disappointed and they will be” in the company’s next language model, and that GPT-4 will be released only when the company is confident it can be done safely and responsibly.

He also dismissed claims that GPT-4 would have 100 trillion “parameters,” calling them “nonsense.” GPT-3 uses 175 billion, so if that rumor were true, we would be talking about an infinitely superior product.

The thing is, all we know is that GPT-4 is an artificial intelligence (AI) language model developed by OpenAI, which has yet to be officially released. Not much is known about its specific functionality or features, however it is expected to be an updated and improved version of its predecessor GPT-3, with higher performance and language processing abilities.

ChatGPT is an application based on the OpenAI GPT-3 language model. GPT-3 is an AI language processing model developed by OpenAI that is used to automatically generate text, and uses it to answer questions and generate text from a variety of prompts or topics. We’re still a long way from saying that GPT-3 is truly intelligent, but since it talks like a human, it sometimes gives us the feeling that it is.

The point is that you do not believe anything that is being said about GPT-4 in the media, because surely 90% of it is false.
