Amazon is announcing several products today such as the new Echo Dots and Studio and one of the highlights is the new generation of the Fire TV Omni, which arrives with 4K resolution OLED screens with two size options: 65 and 75 inches. The new models support local dimming with 96 brightness zones, support Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ Adaptive and more.
As it is an Amazon product, it has the Alexa voice assistant built in, which can be used even without the remote control.
There is a privacy button at the bottom of the TV to disable this feature, but an interesting novelty is the new widgets mode, which displays useful information at all times on the Fire TV Omni screen, which can be useful for pinning reminders, tasks , view the weather forecast and other information about connected devices in real time.
The new TVs are also compatible with the new Alexa Voice Remote Pro controller, which will be sold separately for $34.99 and will support customizable buttons.
Returning to the Fire TV Omni, the widgets mode will still provide access to a library of iconic artworks to illustrate your TV and home while the electronics are not in use.
Both sizes support WiFi, Ethernet and have a USB input, 3 HDMI 2.0 connections and an HDMI 2.1 eARC to plug in audio devices such as soundbars or advanced sound systems.
The new Fire TV Omni QLED are already open for pre-sales in the US and Canada by Amazon and Best Buy for the following prices:
- Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED 65″: US$ 799 (~R$ 4,260)
- Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED 75″: US$ 1,099 (~R$ 5,860)
Unfortunately, Amazon did not detail when the first units will be sent to buyers, much less if it intends to launch the new models in Europe.
