Apple will present watchOS 10 at the opening keynote of WWDC 2023 scheduled for June 5th. And if the transition from watchOS 8 to watchOS 9 has not brought particularly striking changes – limited to refinements in functions and graphics – the update to the next version of the operating system dedicated to the Apple smartwatch it should be much more consistent. Starting with many new features on the UI side.

SOFTWARE, NOT HARDWARE CHANGES FOR 2023

Mark Gurman Of Bloomberg reports that watchOS 10″it should be a fairly extensive update, with notable UI changes, unlike iOS 17“. And this will serve to “compensate” for the hardware upgrade “far from importantof the Apple Watch model supposedly arriving this fall.

For a profoundly revamped smartwatch, Gurman says, we will have to wait until 2024when Apple will introduce the micro LED display and a 2.1-inch screen on the Ultra model, nearly 9% larger than the current 1.93-inch one. So for 2023 the news will be mainly softwarewith a revised interface of which, however, at the moment, the details are not yet known.

For a renewed Apple Watch we will instead have to postpone everything until next year: for the 2023 model, the Cupertino company would only have a few refinements planned, nothing else.
