VERTU’s latest phone costs €14,000, but you can buy it for “only” €4,900 with an NFT
To celebrate the brand’s 22nd anniversary, VERTU Paris has partnered with Binance to launch the new smartphone VERTU Constellation X Ulm through an exclusive sales process.
VERTU will list 1,000 NFTs for sale on the Binance NFT platform. Another 9,555 NFTs can be purchased on the decentralized platform Galler.io and on the official VERTU Paris website.
For this occasion, VERTU will launch a unique launch operation on Monday June 20: only 10,555 smartphones will be available for sale through the purchase of an NFT on the official website of VERTU Paris.
After purchasing an NFT, the 10,555 owners will have until September 23, 2022 to choose whether to convert their NTF to the VERTU Constellation X ULM smartphone to receive it no later than February 2023, or to keep it as an NFT and thus form part of the new VERTU 3.0 club that brings together the historical clients of the brand and the new web 3.0 community.
VERTU Constellation X ULM
VERTU describes the new Constellation X ULM as “a blend of cutting-edge technological innovation and high-fashion craftsmanship.”
Unfortunately, the company does not give much information about the technical characteristics of the phone. It indicates that it has an octa-core processor (2×2.80 GHz Cortex-X1 + 2 x 2.25 GHz Cortex-A76 + 4×1.80 GHz Cortex-A55) but does not identify which one it is. Those features correspond to the Google Tensor chip, but it seems unlikely that Google has licensed its use.
It also claims that it will pack 12GB of RAM, dual SIM with 5G support, a 6.71-inch 120Hz screen, and a front-facing fingerprint sensor (it’s not even built into the screen).
The photographic section does not offer a detail either, although we know that it has a 50 MP (f / 1.9) main lens, a 12 MP (f / 2.2) ultra wide-angle lens and a 48 MP (f / 2.2) telephoto lens. /3.5). can capture video [email protected] either [email protected]/60fps.
One of the points that VERTU highlights is security, since it has partnered exclusively with COMMUNITAKE to encrypt all voice and messaging exchanges to prevent interception of communications, as well as location.
The VERTU Constellation X Ulm 22nd Anniversary will be produced in limited quantities of just 10,555 units in total, and will be available exclusively through the purchase of the VERTU NFT (VCXP). As of this Monday, June 20, 2022, 10,555 NFTs go on sale for $5,175 (€4,920).
On the other hand, the market selling price of Constellation X Ulm is $14,890 (€14,160).
