IFA 2022. The Berlin fair is drawing to a close and manufacturers are presenting their latest solutions. This mini-PC from MSI stands out for the use of the latest Intel processing platform and the absence of fans.

MSI’s mini-PC follows the line of Intel’s NUCs or that of competitors like Gigabyte with its BRIX series. It is extremely compact in size, with thickness less than 3 cm and the minimum dimensions to accommodate a mini ITX board from the same manufacturer. The idea is to be able to place it anywhere in an office, home office, industrial systems, commercial kiosks or a consumer desktop because these little computers are capable of any computing use.

It is compatible with Intel’s twelfth generation processors, the Alder Lake U and P series, which means that you can mount a couple of dozen CPUs with a TDP consumption of 15 or 28 watts. To highlight your passive cooling system that eliminates the need to incorporate active fans and their annoying noise.

Includes two SODIMM slots to accommodate up to 64 GB of RAM in DDR4 format with 3200 MHz frequency. For mass storage, it includes an M.2 connector that can accommodate PCIe 4.0 solid-state drives, plus a 2.5-inch bay for a 7mm SATA SSD.

MSI says all components are easily accessible from the bottom of the computer and the company’s proprietary board features a “wire-free design.” In addition to two other M.2 connectors (form B and E) to install add-on modules with functions for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 or cellular modem, has the following ports:

  • 2 Ethernet LANs of 2.5 Gbps.
  • 2HDMI
  • 2 Display Port
  • 3 USB 3.2 Gen 2
  • 2 USB2.0
  • 2 COM
  • 3.5mm audio output
  • 19 V DC power input

We do not know availability or price of this MSI mini-PC, without fans, with the latest Intel CPUs and for any type of use, consumption, commercial or industrial.
