THE Electronic Arts released an application for the Windows operating system that will soon replace Origin. The new software is called EA App and promises to be the fastest and lightest PC client developed by the company to date.
With a more streamlined design, EA promises that gamers will be able to more easily find their favorite games. The app also delivers automatic game downloads and background updates.
Users will also be able to create friends lists by connecting their EA account to other platforms and services such as Steam, Xbox and PlayStation. The company also promised to make a new, personalized unique ID available.
EA also highlighted that it is working hard to make the transition to the new app as simple as possible. Current Origin users will receive invitations to make the software change and enjoy the new features.
