Over the course of yesterday evening, Apple has released a long series of beta updates which involve all the latest versions of its operating systems currently being tested, including the long-awaited iOS 16.1, but not only. Recall that in the last few hours the possibility has also emerged that the Cupertino house has the release of iOS 16.0.3 in the pipeline in order to solve several bugs still present in the iPhone operating system, however this firmware was not distributed yesterday; we will probably have to wait a little longer.

THE NEW BETAS AVAILABLE

Moving on to the new beta released yesterday, we report the publication of the fourth beta of iOS 16.1, which further improves the user experience with the operating system. Inside there are several fixes, but one of the most significant concerns users who are using the firmware on one of the new iPhone 14 in which there was an annoying bug in the Settings menu.

This came in the form of a notice that invited us to complete the configuration of a cellular data plan, even in the presence of a physical SIM. Until the last beta it was impossible to make the warning go away, while the latest update of iOS 16.1 has permanently corrected this small but annoying tip.

Also available new beta of iPadOS 16.1 (build 20B5064cthe same as iOS 16.1), which we remember will be the first real official release of iPadOS 16, since Apple has postponed the release of the firmware due to several problems encountered with Stage Manager. The prolongation of the works has brought with it pleasant news also for the owners of the old iPad Pro from 2018 onwards, since these models will also receive Stage Manager, contrary to the initial declarations. The only limitation of these devices concerns the absence of support for external monitors, which is instead possible on models equipped with Apple Silicon M1 chip.

Then we also find the new one beta 4 watchOS 9.1 and tvOS 16.1, both released with minor fixes for their respective operating systems. Finally, we point out that macOS 13 Ventura has also been updated with the tenth beta. Recall that even in this case – as for iPadOS 16.1 – it is the first version of the new operating system for Mac that will arrive in the autumn.

At the moment there is no precise date yet, but it is likely that the release will take place precisely in conjunction with the release of the new version of iPadOS. If you want to discover the main functions of macOS Ventura, we invite you to take a look at our special that we published just a few days ago, where we deepen all the news about it.
