If you are a Prime Video subscriber , we have great news for you. This Tuesday (14), Amazon’s streaming service announced several hot news, including renewals of beloved series for new seasons, new series and new films. All at once.

Among the highlights are the renewal of The Boys for a fifth season, the first trailer for the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and the announcement of a prequel to Legally Blonde . Check out the main news announced by Prime Video below!

The Boys – season 5

Firstly,  The Boys , a superhero series that is one of the biggest hits in Prime Video’s history, will get a fifth season. Remembering that the fourth part of the attraction hasn’t even debuted yet and should only arrive on June 13th.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – season 2

Another huge Prime Video series that got updates was The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power . The second year of the series has an unprecedented trailer and official premiere date: new episodes arrive from August 29th this year.

The Summer That Changed My Life – season 3

The romance series The Summer That Changed My Life was also renewed for a third season, with its premiere scheduled for 2025. The “delay” is due to the strike by Hollywood writers and artists, which affected the series’ processes.

The new season will have 11 episodes in total, making it the longest year for the series so far.

Killer for Hire 2

One of the most watched films in the history of Prime Video will have an equally electrifying and action-packed sequel. We’re talking about Hit Man , which had a sequel confirmed with the return of actor Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role.

The first film, released in March this year, was seen by around 80 million people on Amazon streaming.

tomb Raider

The iconic character Lara Croft, played by Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander in the cinema, will return to the screen, however, now, in series format. Yes, the Tomb  Raider  franchise will get its own live-action series on Prime Video.

The work will be written and produced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, creator of Fleabag .

Mr. & Mrs. Smith – Season 2

Created and starring Donald Glover, alongside Maya Erskine, Mr. & Mrs. Smith is another Prime Video series that will live for another year. The attraction has had a second season confirmed and should bring new adventures for a new couple of spies.

The production featured eight initial episodes and consists of a modern version of the 2005 film of the same name, starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Legally Blonde

Finally, Amazon streaming also gave the green light to the production of a prequel series to the film Legally Blonde , a hit from the 2000s with Reese Witherspoon.

The series will be called Elle  and has the following plot: “The series follows Elle Woods in her school years as we learn about her life experiences, which shaped her to be the iconic young woman we knew and loved in the first film.”
