O Galaxy Watch 5 is getting a new update for the month of May. In fact, update is only new for the LTE versions of the smart watch as the variant with only Bluetooth support received the firmware last month. Still, it is something that interests the owners of the item.

The firmware version distributed by Samsung is R9x5FXXU1AWDA and there is not a large number of implementations by the manufacturer. In this sense, the detail that draws the most attention is the cycle monitoring based on skin temperature that is available on Samsung Health.

Right after the user installs the new firmware update, the Health app should also be updated to its latest version. In this way, it will be possible to access the menstrual cycle monitoring category and access an option that allows the use of the temperature sensor for this function.

Furthermore, the changelog mentions that the stability of the system has been improved, as well as its reliability. In addition, Samsung watches also receive the April security package, lagging behind the Pixel Watch in this regard, as the Google model has the May patch available.

The new update for Samsung watches is being released for Europe for the LTE versions of the item and other markets should also have this update available soon. To update, just enter the “Software update” in the watch settings section and tap “download and install“.
